Silicon Wristbands: Bands With a Cause

Silicone wristbands are the most recent trend to make an appearance in fashion. Even though some people in the fashion industry call them a transitory craze, they are now the things in the fashion industry selling the most. The cycling champion and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong is mainly responsible for their rise to popularity.

Types of Silicone Wristbands

The first band to enter the market was called Livestrong Band, which was very successful. Lance Armstrong popularised them to show support for patients who have cancer. After Oprah Winfrey, the reigning queen of talk shows, introduced it to her audience on one of her episodes, sales of it skyrocketed.

Celebrate Hope Band. This memorial band is worn to remember all of the people who have passed away due to the debilitating effects of any form of cancer. The band is purple.

Live Free Smoke-Free Band. This band, which is orange in color and is worn as a kind of moral support to urge individuals to quit smoking.

Courage Band. This band is red and has an imprinted ribbon marker on it. This is done in honor of those facing AIDS, those who have passed away due to the disease, and in support of AIDS research.

Anti-Racism Bands. These bands came about as a response to the rise in racist acts after the 9/11 attacks. Two rounds combined, with the white band going over the black one. You can demonstrate your commitment to racial and cultural equality by wearing them as a symbol of support for these causes.

The band that helps with tsunami relief is aqua blue in hue. This is done to commemorate those who passed away due to the Asian Tsunami that occurred on December 26, 2004. The phrase “one world, one cause” is inscribed into the band, symbolizing that all people are part of the same global family.

Yellow ribbons with the words “Support Our Troops” written on them symbolize solidarity with the military personnel of the United States who are serving overseas.

The proceeds from selling the Radio 1 Bully Band fund anti-bullying awareness activities. It has a blue color to it.

Breast Cancer Bands are wristbands that are often pink in color and worn to show support for women undergoing breast cancer treatment. This is a purple band called Purples Paw Band, and they are supported by “Crafts n Scraps” in their efforts to raise awareness and funds for cruelty-free causes and animal shelters. The proceeds will be donated to Maxfund, an organization that helps abused animals.
